Today i made my first big venture from the city center, with Jo and Emily we got the tram to Belem. Tried the Famous panatas which were delicious and felt the urge to try the coffee which was like an expresso, was very strong and being more of a tea man it really made an impression, although i think i will stick to my tea in the future. Went to Museu Coleccao Berardo, which was a large art galerry for modern art which i found very inspiring, particularly the exhibition Theatre without theatre which i found amazing and intend to return to and perhaps buy the book. It was full of expressionist work which i adore anyway but the dramatic theme just added another dimension to my appreciation. It featured the works of artists such as Schlemmer and Maholy Nagy to Louise Bourgouis and Dali. All in all it was a great inspiration and nice to visit a different part of Lisbon. The museum was located right on the river Tejo and i particularly enjoyed sitting on the bank listening to some pan pipes.
