Yesterday i went to a flea market up the road from the house and I absolutely loved it. I loved how it was so Portuguese and yet so familiar to me in England. It was really bustling with life and gave me an insight into the Portuguese culture. The weather was as lively as the market chopping and changing hot one minute, raining the next. I took plenty of photos to use for my work and just as a keep sake. There was a real variety of stalls from clothes and furniture to literal tat just like a car boot sale in England. It made me smile to think how people think they could sell the most stupid and perculier things, completely useless unanimate objects. My favourite items i saw were a teapot/ cup, i couldnt tell in the shape of a breast, it was delightfully tacky and the other was a small plastic model of a crab claw; obviously i am missing out. I bought some flour which means that i can make a cake which put a smile on my face.
